The oppressive heat and humidity that we New Yorkers often have to bear with during the summer (which makes for one stinky city...let's just say we produce a lot of garbage that ferments while waiting for the sanitation trucks--very few kitchens are outfitted with garbage disposals in their sinks--and clearly, we don't have enough public toilets) is offset by the wealth of terrific live music that descends upon us, some of it's even free! Mark your electronic calendars, kids!

A pearl of wisdom from Perry's MySpace page: "Piss is a must. Poop is a must."
Ain't it the truth, Scratch, ain't it the truth.
Wait, is that Kofi as in the Lovers Rock singerwith all the albums on Ariwa? If so... that's a REALLY strange lineup.
ReplyDeleteIn answer to my own question. I think it's actually a group called Kofre that's on the bill for that night. They're apparently a Rock en EspaƱol/Ska group from New Jersey.
ReplyDeleteThe Sullivan Hall website says 'Kofi', but you're probably right!
ReplyDeleteMan, I am so disappointed I'll be missing the Summerstage gig for Los Fabulosos Cadillacs. It's sure to be a great show. I'll be in the city a month too early :( Fingers crossed that they'll make a trip out west.
