New Kid British "Winner"
It should come as no surprise to regular readers of The Duff Guide to Ska that I am a big fan of Kid British (read this and this and you'll see why). So, I'm psyched to learn--courtesy of a tip from Sarah R., who was guiltily reading The Sun earlier today--that the band has a new World Cup Soccer-related Motown-meets-ska single "Winner," which will be released on June 28th.
Not that I am up on my footie, but the video features English World Cup soccer legend Sir Geoff Hurst and Manchester City player Nedum Onuoha, amongst others.

Steve you are so right on with this one. I have been rocking them for a while now. Nice to see you bringing it to the American Ska public. Worth a listen great band wish they would come here.

Thanks, Mike! It would be amazing to see them come over, but I'm not holding my breath (they would be a good pairing with The Specials, actually).
mmm, not a bad band but... this video, man, it looks like an add from Harrods, if they brought a brand new "Mod Kid Collection" to the boys clothing section of the store...
Dan:
How right you are...it's a corporate video through and through, which is too bad. Wish it was more gritty/of the people (along the lines of their "Our House" video).
Still a great band, though!
Steve
