These tribute bands really baffle me. Why would someone make a tribute band, to a band that still exists? No Doubt just released a Greatest Hits album, and I've heard that they are writing new material.
Same goes for the Sublime tribute bands. Sure Bradley is no longer here, but the rest of the band continues to perform in random combinations of Sublime members that play Sublime songs.
I think there should be some sort of statute of limitations as to when you can form a tribute band!
Actually, No Doubt are back. I think I just saw in either Entertainment Weekly or Rolling Stone (or both) that they are in the midst of recording a new album and will be touring, etc.
To be fair to this tribute band, it has been something like 10 years since their last new record--and Gwen Stefani had a pretty spectacular solo and fashion designing career that it might have seemed like No Doubt would never regroup...
Is it true that this Tribute to No Doubt has a total of... half song? How unfair, I'd say No Doubt catalogue has at least two half-good songs!
