Madness Working on New Album

It's been just about four years since we've seen a new album from Madness (their last one was 2016's Can't Touch Us Now, which I reviewed back then), though the surprise release of "The Bullingdon Boys" digital single last fall certainly suggested that more music from the Nutty Boys would be forthcoming. Now comes word via the February 2020 issue of MOJO that Madness are indeed working on a new studio album--their thirteenth!--with one of their favorite ace producers Clive Langer (see photo of this music news item at right).

Perhaps we'll hear some of the new tracks during Madness' mini US tour with Dave Wakeling's English Beat this May? (The NYC date is on Friday, May 22 at the Manhattan Center; some tickets are still available, though it appears that the less expensive floor tickets are all gone at this point.)
